Jazmaine Choy, BSc.

Speech-Language Pathology Assistant

Jazmaine is a second-year Speech-Language Pathology (MHSc) student at the University of Toronto. She completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) at the University of Waterloo.

Jazmaine has completed clinical placements at the York Region District School Board, the Institute for Stuttering Treatment and Research at the University of Alberta, and is currently completing a placement at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, with a focus on pediatric brain injury rehabilitation and pediatric feeding and dysphagia.

She has experience supporting children and adults with needs in articulation, language, literacy, fluency, cognitive communication and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Jazmaine deeply values continued education, recognizing that staying informed and reflective is essential to providing best possible care to individuals and families she serves. Jazmaine has completed additional training in the Comprehensive Stuttering Program, the Lidcombe Program, Fluency Plus, Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT®), Speech Intelligibility Treatment, Babble Boot Camp©, DIR 101: An Introduction to DIR® and DIRFloortime®, Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and Rapid Syllable Transition Treatment (ReST), and A Trauma Lens to Speech-Language Pathology Practice (Level 1). She continues to actively pursue professional development opportunities to best support your child’s evolving needs.
