Speech-Language Pathologist
Adoni obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts with a Specialization in Psycholinguistics from the University of Toronto. During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered with the Aphasia Institute, March of Dimes Aphasia and Communication Disabilities Program. She then went on to complete a graduate program at the University of Alberta and graduated with a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. She is registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) and is a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
Adoni brings clinical experience across hospitals, schools, rehabilitation centers, and virtual care settings, working with both children and adults. She addresses speech and language delays, social communication challenges, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and early developmental issues. She utilizes play-based techniques, sensory-integrated therapy, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to foster communication skills in children.
Adoni also specializes in neurological rehabilitation, treating communication and swallowing disorders such as aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, and cognitive-communication impairments, particularly in patients recovering from strokes. Adoni uses evidence-based approaches, including Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA™) and the Life Participation Approach to Aphasia (LPAA), to deliver holistic, patient-centered care.
Adoni provides culturally responsive, family-centered services and seeks opportunities to further her clinical skills and knowledge through continuing education courses.
