Heather Osburn
Communicative Disorders Assistant
Heather obtained a diploma in Early Childhood Education from Seneca College, as well as her Communicative Disorders Assistant Graduate Certificate from Georgian College.
Heather started her career as an Early Childhood Educator, transitioning to Educational Assistant for the Simcoe County District School Board, where she held the position for 10 years. Having been introduced to Augmentative and Alternative Communication while supporting students in the school setting, Heather developed a keen interest in supporting people who required additional support in finding their voice. This has launched her into a career as a CDA where she has supported school age students with articulation, language and AAC needs in a school setting. Heather also has experience working with the adult population, supporting people with aphasia.
Heather is excited to be part of the team at Aurora Speech Clinic! Heather is looking forward to expanding her client base and gaining new experiences and therapy techniques while supporting children and families in their communication goals.
